Bolivia El Arcangel Single Origin Coffee Beans | Washed Process
A wonderful washed processed lot, produced by the Rodriguez family, whose journey began 37 years ago when founder and former banker Pedro Rodriguez pursued his passion in coffee. Pedro is one of the pioneers of speciality coffee in Bolivia, owning and operating an export company called Agricafe, with his daughter Daniela and son Pedro Pablo.
In 2012 Agricafe acquired land and started farming, they now own a total of 13 farms. Agricafe also run a social program called "Sol De La Manana", designed to motivate and train other smallholder producers in the region. The producers are guided through every step of coffee farming. They are taught best coffee practices, enabling them to improve their lifestyle significantly, improving coffee cultivation in the country and motivating others to go back to coffee farming.
The Caturra and Trapiche farms are located between 1500 and 1650 masl in the Samaipata region. Only 2 to 4 hecatares of the plots are planted with coffee trees, with the rest remaining wild forest which helps conserve the biodiversity in the farms.
