Uganda Coffee Gardens Zebugu-Busi Single Origin Coffee Beans | Washed Process

  • The Coffee Gardens was established in 2017 with the aim of producing incredible specialty coffee in an ethical way, offering a transparent and direct link between coffee farmers and coffee consumers.

The Coffee Gardens work with farmers on a case by case basis to understand their specific needs and goals. In partnership, they work to improve coffee farming practices using smart and sustainable approaches.

The Gardens' own microprocessing station was designed to maximise the quality, consistency and traceability of coffees. The station has implemented strict processing practices using state of the art equipment to track each batch of coffee from the gardens to the store.

Through their long term collaboration, farmers are able secure higher incomes and grow their businesses for themselves and future generations. The Coffee Gardens also strives to create rural employment, promote gender equality, increase transparency and equality throughout the supply chain.

At the start of the 2022 season The Coffee Gardens dismantled their old washing station and rebuilt it a new site giving them the potential to further expand their capacity for growing specialty coffee.

The SL14, SL28 and Nyasaland varietals are drought tolerant and high yielding varietal, capable of producing very high quality cherries at high altitude.
